Tumors of Female Offspring of Mice Exposed Prenatally to Diethylstilbestrol

摘要: Strain CD-1 female mice exposed prenatally to diethylstilbestrol (DES) (CAS: 56-53-1; alpha,alpha'-diethyl-4,4'-stilbenediol) were mated unexposed males. Female offspring of these matings raised the stage terminal illness. They never DES and so have been referred as "DES-lineage mice." Ten uterine adenocarcinomas 5 ovarian cystadenocarcinomas found in 40 DES-lineage mice. These findings significantly different from absence such tumors 24 "vehicle-lineage" whose mothers had received injections only oil alcohol. The types that commonly occur spontaneously strain appeared with comparable frequency 2 groups did not show increased adenomyosis squamous metaplasia uterus, nor reduced corpora lutea seen DES.
