Magnetic form factor of Cu in La2CuO

摘要: The magnetic form factor for Cu in a single crystal of the antiferromagnet La/sub 2/CuO/sub 4/ has been measured using neutron diffraction. result is consistent with Calculation Freeman and Watson Cu/sup 2+/ at least up to Q = 4 A/sup -1/, although plateau between 1 3 -1/ suggests small contribution moment out-of-plane oxygen sites. For larger values drops faster than 2+/. sample ordered antiferromagnetically T/sub N/approx. =185 K an average ..mu.. 0.30 ..mu../sub B/ per atom.
