摘要: Publisher Summary The nature of the volume-activated chloride current in nonpigmented epithelial (NPE) cells has been investigated using pharmacological, molecular, and immunocytochemical techniques. In rabbit NPE cells, Botchkin Matthews found that increases cell volume increased intracellular calcium activated a channel, although there was no evidence or cyclic adenosine monophosphate (CAMP) involved regulation channel. whole-cell studies have revealed currents variety possible candidates for role channel and/or regulator. Single-channel reveal are, addition to this multiplicity candidates, number different channels pigmented (PE) are different. roles played by described chapter depend large extent on their localization ciliary body. Research into body is providing insights secretion aqueous humor offering new avenues development antiglaucoma therapies.
