Abortion induced with methotrexate and misoprostol: A comparison of various protocols

摘要: Abstract Seven hundred fifty-six women had abortions induced with methotrexate and misoprostol. Various protocols were compared. In Group 1, phase after receiving 50 mg/m 2 IM, 289 randomized to receive either 750 or 500 μg of vaginal 2, 84 who failed abort one dose misoprostol oral routes for the second given on Day 8. a cohort 226 received 60 compared in 1. There no differences rates effectiveness various trial groups. Side effects greater methotrexate. 3, 241 three doses 8 hr apart starting 5, 1 dose. whose medical abortion failed, fetuses found have limb abnormalities. total group 756 women, 88.8% aborted successfully without surgical aspiration, only minor side effects, acceptance rate was high. This study indicates that are safe effective, but more research is needed find effective protocol.
