摘要: Abstract The effect of crystallographic texture on precipitation induced anisotropy in yield strength an aluminium magnesium silicon alloy was investigated. Solutionized samples were subjected to unidirectional and multi-step cross rolling distinct textures the Al–Mg–Si alloy. rolled sheets then annealing followed by second solutionizing treatment provide with similar grain size dislocation content but texture. Ageing experiments carried out these at 443 K for different time intervals. It observed that evolution age hardened depends difference hardening response brought about varying initial controls mechanical properties This manifested terms transition from anisotropic isotropic unidirectionally after peak ageing. On contrary, a behaviour samples. is attributed enhanced crystallographically softer orientations compared harder orientations.
