摘要: The oxidation of mono- and di-saccharides by permanganate in the presence MnII leads to chemiluminescence. This can be used determine individual sugars using flow injection giving a linear response over three orders magnitude. Calibration data for range 10–4 10–1 mol dm–3 are reported monosaccharides glucose, galactose, fructose, arabinose xylose, disaccharides lactose sucrose, sugar alcohol mannitol, glycerol and, comparison, ascorbic acid.
