摘要: The genetic basis for aging is being intensely investigated in a variety of model systems. Much the focus Drosophila has been on molecular-genetic determinants lifespan, whereas age-related functional declines less vigorously explored. We evaluated behavioural and lifespan flies harbouring loss-of-function mutations myospheroid, gene that encodes betaPS, beta integrin. Integrins are adhesion molecules regulate number cellular processes developmental events. Their role aging, however, received limited attention. report here locomotor activity ameliorated mean increased myospheroid mutants. delayed senescence altered mortality independent changes body size, reproduction or stress resistance. Our data indicate age-dependent influenced by integrins Drosophila.
