摘要: Age-related behavioral declines are common manifestations of aging in animals. Negative geotaxis, an innate escape response during which flies ascend the wall a cylinder after being tapped to its bottom, is one behaviors that senesces Drosophila. Many laboratories, including ours, have used variety negative geotaxis assays based on performance single flies. To circumvent limitations single-fly assays, we developed new method for assessing called rapid iterative (RING). In RING digital photography document multiple groups animals simultaneously. We show not influenced by density tested, time day, or repeated testing. assay demonstrate with age as previously shown fly studies and senescence sensitive genetic background.
