摘要: Aging is a long-standing problem that people are always interested in. Thus, it critical to understand the underlying molecular mechanisms in aging and explore most efficient method extend life expectancy. To achieve this goal, wide range of systems including cells, rodent models, budding yeast, worms flies have been employed for decades. In recent years, effect dietary restriction (DR) on lifespan prime focus. Although we confirmed reduced insulin and/or insulin-like growth factor (IGF) target rapamycin (TOR) signaling can increase Drosophila lifespan; precise nutritional response landscape diet-mediated ambiguous. Epigenetic events considered as major contributors extension with DR. The role DNA methylation well acknowledged mammals rodents where has shown impact by regulating transcription, though mechanism regulation not limited only transcription. Drosophila, contribution during DR definitely less explored. review, will update advances DR, particular focus an upcoming studies discuss powerful model diet.
