Individual Competencies for Corporate Social Responsibility: A Literature and Practice Perspective

摘要: Because corporate social responsibility (CSR) can be beneficial to both companies and its stakeholders, interest in factors that support CSR performance has grown recent years. A thorough integration of core business processes is particularly important for achieving effective long-term practices. Here, we explored the individual CSR-related competencies implementation a context. First, systematic literature review was performed which relevant scientific articles were identified analyzed. Next, 28 directors managers interviewed. The complemented with interview data resulted following eight distinct competencies: (1) Anticipating challenges; (2) Understanding CSR-rel- evant systems subsystems; (3) CSR- standards; (4) management competencies, including (4a) Leading programs, (4b) Managing (4c) Identifying realizing opportunities; (5) Realizing CSR-supportive interpersonal processes; (6) Employing personal characteristics attitudes; (7) Personal value- driven (7a) Ethical normative (7b) Balancing ethical values objectives, (7c) self-regulated related behaviors active involvement; (8) Reflecting on views experiences. Based these results, implications further research this topic, as well practitioners, are discussed.
