摘要: The soyfood industry prefers some soybean [( Glycine max L. (Merr.)] cultivars over others based on chemical constituents, physical traits, and processing quality of the seed. However, possessing combination desirable agronomic traits biochemical characteristics that enhance soyfoods have not been identified in U.S. Thus, this research was conducted with objective determining yield, seed protein, fatty acid composition genotypes selected for tofu production. Twelve were planted plots arranged a randomized complete block design four replications at Agricultural Research Station, Fort Valley State University, Georgia during 1994 1995. Seed yield ranged from 1.6 to 3.0 metric tons/ha. protein content varied between 314.2 480.7 g/kg Both BARC-8 BARC-9 had significantly higher than other genotypes. These two also showed significant year by genotype interactions acids. V71-370 highest oleic concentration high ratio (0.92) monounsaturated polyunsaturated linoleic linolenic acids 406.5 531.0 37.1 63.0 oil, respectively. correlated biomass, harvest index, filled pods per m2. In study, found be relatively superior oil human consumption. variation observed among few examined study indicates potential breeding yielding suitable soyfoods. Therefore, there is need evaluation germplasm contribute including profiles before initiating development tofu.
