摘要: This paper analyzes the impact of patent bibliographic indicators and characteristics on economic value patents put sale in an auction, considering different typologies sellers buyers. A unique dataset covering all auctions held until end 2008 by Ocean Tomo is used. We employ two measures drawn from auction process: offer price (ex-ante set seller) closing (the market-value determined buyers) lots. find a positive correlation between forward citations patents, while backward have significant lot price, but turn to be negatively related price.
