摘要: Objective The aim of the study was to evaluate relationship disease characteristics and child anxiety symptoms family health-related quality life (FHRQoL) in youth with cyclic vomiting syndrome (CVS). Methods Forty-two parents ages 8 18 years diagnosed CVS completed Family Impact Module PedsQL, a measure impact child's illness on family. We evaluated parent proxy reports Screen for Childhood Anxiety Related Emotional Disorders FHRQoL. Results Parent report missed school days (mean = 11.93, standard deviation 14.62) were strongest predictors FHRQoL (r 0.33, df 1.39, F 8.51, P 0.006). Other characteristics, including frequency, duration, chronicity episodes, delay initial diagnosis not significantly associated total score. Child by either and/or subscales FHRQoL, physical functioning, communication, daily activities. Conclusions HRQoL families assessed this greater extent than indexing importance biopsychosocial approach management. Screening support absences due are indicated help lessen as whole.
