摘要: BACKGROUND In recent years, the acreage used for organic agriculture and demand fruit vegetables have increased considerably. Given this scenario, landraces, such as Capsicum can provide valuable germplasm. peppers are very interesting because of their high phenolic content, particularly flavonoid which provides a added value. Moreover, broad genetic diversity in local varieties expands opportunities adaptation to production exploiting genotype × environment interactions select with highest content. RESULTS work, main flavonoids were exhaustively evaluated over 2 years wide collection heirlooms, both unripe fully ripe, under conventional cultivation. The genotype ripening stage contributed degree variation flavonoids. growing system influenced lesser extent. Luteolin quercetin showed contributions total content (70% and > 20%, respectively) at stages, while myricetin, apigenin, kaempferol lower contributrions. average was higher ripe fruits, management significantly accumulation luteolin. Positive correlations between found especially luteolin (ρ > 0.7). CONCLUSION Genotype × environment interaction enabled identification accessions grown conditions stage. Our results reinforce importance considering different stages breeding high-quality peppers. © 2020 Society Chemical Industry.
