摘要: We examined how individual differences in social understanding contribute to variability early-appearing prosocial behavior. Moreover, potential sources of were explored and as additional possible predictors Using a multi-method approach with both observed parent-report measures, 325 children aged 18-30 months administered measures (e.g., use emotion words; self-understanding), behavior (in separate tasks measuring instrumental helping, empathic sharing, well parent-reported prosociality at home), temperament (fearfulness, shyness, fear), parental socialization the family. Individual predicted helping prosociality, but not or sharing. Parental was positively associated toddlers' understanding, home, lab, negatively sharing (possibly reflecting parents' increased efforts encourage who less likely share). Further, moderated association between behavior, such that predictive among whose parents took more active role socializing their prosociality. None dimensions either is thus an important source children's early acting concert different patterns influence for subtypes
