Realisation of carved and iris groove gap waveguide filter and E-plane diplexer for V-band radio link application

摘要: The gap waveguide technology is a promising candidate as cost-effective and low-loss platform for realizing microwave devices particularly at frequencies higher than 40GHz. In this study, two types of groove filters also diplexer are presented. Coupling mechanism these based on carving the pin plate iris between adjacent cavities. Two fifth-order Chebyshev realised 62.5GHz. proposed consists RX TX centre frequency 59.5 62.5GHz an E-plane T-junction. required transition to WR-15 designed used input port filters. Moreover, T-junction connecting part antenna port. Finally all parts integrated. manufactured in aluminium by sawing milling then silver plating done. passbands around 1.7 2.4% with measured return loss better 13.6dB minimum insertion 0.9 0.8dB, respectively.
