摘要: Sertoli cells undergo important changes in their number and function at different ages the rat may be primary source of circulating inhibin B. The aims this study were 1) to establish profile B levels from birth adulthood normal rats 2) identify whether experimental manipulation cell numbers was able alter profile. Levels B, measured by a specific two-site assay, increased fivefold Wistar between day 3 days 10-15, plateaued, then declined late puberty reach adult which approximately 60% those observed on 10-15. increase neonatal period coincided with multiplication as indicated incorporation bromodeoxyuridine. Neonatal treatment GnRH antagonist (GnRHa) reduced testis weight 48% significantly plasma all through adulthood. Induction hypothyroidism Sprague-Dawley administration propylthiouracil (PTU) up 25 age final 41% (indicative numbers) resulted elevation beyond 7 age. degree change two groups proportional weight. Plasma follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) showed opposite being lowered PTU-treated elevated (beyond 25) GnRHa-treated animals. present results suggest that per exerts an effect level (and FSH) rat. These findings are compared emerging data for human male.
