摘要: Clostridium difficile infection of the colon is, unfortunately, a relatively common occurrence that typically follows treatment with antibiotics; however, C. small bowel is much more rare phenomenon only 19 cases reported to date. We present three isolated enteritis after colectomy. Although all patients were identified early and successfully treated medical management without need for surgical intervention, previous authors have suggested higher morbidity mortality rate this infection. This article reviews current available literature on highlight potentially serious condition in postoperative colectomy who low-grade fevers, abdominal or pelvic pain, increased ileostomy output.
