摘要: Abstract Introduction Narcolepsy is often associated with increased body weight. Sodium oxybate has efficacy in many narcolepsy symptoms. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects sodium on weight patients narcolepsy. Methods Charts from three centers all who had been using for at least 3 months were reviewed. Patients whom anti-cataplexy medications added or withdrawn wake-promoting after start excluded further analysis. In remainder, pre-sodium and, most recently, on-sodium weights compared Student's t -tests. dose and duration therapy also noted. Results A total 54 meeting inclusion criteria identified. Of these 54, 33 (61%) women; mean age 48.3 years. 6.9g/night 25 months. 78.3 (±15.7)kg. recent 74.9 (±15.1, p =0.003). average loss 3.4kg, whereas maximum 30.9kg. Conclusions This suggests that treatment can result loss.
