摘要: Abstract Background Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a major risk factor for cardiovascular events. The study purpose was to compare DM and non-DM (nDM) patients in terms of statin-induced change plaque characteristics using intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) coronary angioscopy. Methods Patients with artery disease hypercholesterolemia who were enrolled the TWINS selected classified into two groups: group nDM group. Eleven 28 studied. Results Low-density lipoprotein cholesterol levels decreased significantly similar extent at weeks 80 from baseline ( p Conclusion In patients, volume regression by atorvastatin shown be attenuated, its color improvement delayed. However, yellowness became comparable between groups week 80. These results indicate that should treated intensive lipid-lowering therapy least stabilize vulnerable plaque.
