Description of Echinococcus granulosus genotypes in human hydatidosis in a region of southern Chile

摘要: Abstract Introduction Echinococcus granulosus species has a wide variety in both geography and hosts; indeed, 10 genotypes have been reported studies on material of animal origin. The aim this study was to genotype E. obtained from human hydatid cysts. Materials methods fluid sand collected patients who underwent surgery for hepatic pulmonary hydatidosis at Hospital Regional Temuco, Chile, between 2004 2005. Two PCR systems were used: Eg9 Eg16. RsaI enzyme used RFLP. confirmed using the sequence one fragment 366 bp mitochondrial gene ( cox1 ). Results DNA protoscolices 24 samples analyzed, 4 them cysts 20 amplified out (83.3%). Enzymatic digestion revealed presence 3 possible genotypes: 21 (95,2%), restriction observed corresponding G1 or G7 genotypes; remaining sample G4 observed. Sequencing 19 G6 (G4 according PCR-RFLP). Conclusion PCR-RFLP technique enabled three present (G1 G7, G7) be established. allowed us decisively identify our group. Previous agree with identification country. We consider it significant that is Chile its epidemiological implications.
