摘要: Two Chlamydiales have previously been found to infect Atlantic salmon (Salmo salar L.), Candidatus Piscichlamydia salmonis and Clavichlamydia salmonicola. Both develop intracellularly in cyst-like inclusions gill cells, generally referred as epitheliocysts. Here, we present evidence for the association of a novel species with epitheliocystis salmon. Based on its partial 16S rRNA gene sequence, it is new member family Simkaniaceae, 95.7 % identity type Syngnamydia venezia suggests inclusion candidate genus Syngnamydia. The presence bacterium epitheliocysts gills was demonstrated by RNA–RNA hybridization. Ultrastructurally, produces pleomorphic reticulate bodies elementary (EBs) characteristic morphology. EBs are short rods terminal disc-like cap area, sub-apical spherical vacuole-like electron-lucent structure post-equatorial nucleoid. We propose name this agent from seawater-reared .
