摘要: The use of ultraviolet matrix-assisted laser desorption (MALD) to ionize peptides for analysis in a quadrupole ion trap is described. An source was modified accommodate fiber optic transmit radiation from notrogen (337 nm) the tip sample probe containing peptide protein samples matrix 2,5-dihydroxybenzoic acid (DHB) or 3,4-dimethoxy-4-hydrexy-cinnamic acid. Detection limits are demonstrated with 10 fmol sperm-whale-myoglobin. dimer sperm-whale myoglobin also observed at m/z 34, 430. A. comparison made tandem mass spectrum (MS/MS) human angiotensin I desorbed by MALD that liquid secondary-ion spectrometry. Both spectra were found contain abundant structural information.
