摘要: The major pathway of gammadelta cell development is shown to be regulated by in-frame rearrangements at the T receptor (TCR) delta locus. Such "delta selection" occurs or around same point in thymocyte as selection for TCRbeta However, there are least two differences with beta selection: first, commonly involves on cognate TCR chain, gamma, suggesting that no "preTgamma" chain biological significance; second, most gammadelta-selected thymocytes differentiate rather than proliferate. Nonetheless, some events seemingly facilitate expansion, similar alphabeta development. In these cases, TCRgamma less obvious. Furthermore, capacity individual gamma chains vary developmental age. results further clarify early selection/delta stage and place clear constraints models fate determination.
