摘要: Plane-wave ultrasound at certain dosages can cause a statistically significant increase in the rate which tissue re- generates to replace that lost after injury. The experimental model used this study is replacement of pinna ear rabbit removal area 1 cm2 through full thickness ear. regenerate consists skin and its derivatives elastic cartilage. method irradiation effects range on are described. Experimental evidence indicates growth increases found not due thermal caused by ultrasound; it thought mechanical factor, streaming, may be involved. Electron microscopic studies show changes irradiated interpreted as indicating an protein synthesis temporary interference with polymerization collagen precursors. Autoradiographic investigation 3H-thymidine uptake shows DNA regenerating increased treatment ultrasound.
