摘要: Human exposure to bisphenol A (BPA) is widespread. Animal studies have demonstrated that BPA can alter endocrine function, but human are limited. For the present study, we measured urinary concentrations and serum thyroid reproductive hormone levels in 167 men recruited through an infertility clinic. was detected 89% of urine samples with a median (range) 1.3 (<0.4 - 36.4) ng/mL. In multivariable regression models adjusted for potential confounders, collected on same day as blood sample were inversely associated inhibin B estradiol:testosterone ratio (E(2):T) positively follicle-stimulating (FSH) FSH:inhibin ratio. Because metabolized quickly multiple measures may better reflect than single measure, also considered among subset repeated weeks or months following collection. these analyses, effect estimates remained consistent FSH E(2):T somewhat weakened B. addition, observed inverse relationships between free androgen index (ratio testosterone sex binding globulin), estradiol, stimulating hormone. Our results suggest be altered men, findings need substantiated further research.
