摘要: It is firmly established that angiogenesis an absolute requirement for the growth of normal and neoplastic tissues (Pepper, 1997). Many biological processes, including angiogenesis, depend on tightly controlled interactions between cells extracellular matrix (ECM). These are mediated (a) by integral membrane proteins integrins, which provide a link ECM cytoskeleton; (b) proteinases their inhibitors, mediate focal degradation components ECM, some (e.g., fibrillar collagens) highly resistant to broad spectrum proteases. Most relevant proteolytic enzymes belong one two families: serine proteases, in particular plasminogen activator (PA)/plasmin system, metalloproteinases (MMPs) (Mignatti Rifkin, 1996; Pepper, 2001a; Vu Werb, 2000).
