摘要: While Portugal is one of the European countries with a high representation women in higher education, there both horizontal and vertical segregation. The way universities especially managerial positions are culturally embedded by masculinity obstacles have traditionally faced. Recently, education institutions been subjected to external pressures create new institutional organisational environment aimed at substituting traditional collegial model one. In this paper, authors discuss these different models reflect notions femininity potential impact they on academia. Based qualitative methodology, provide an analysis whether senior academic managers still reproduce stereotypes styles men, clash between models. conclude analysing perceptions about leadership for implications women's participation top management HE institutions.
