摘要: Mast cells have been isolated from the intestine (IMC) of rats previously infected with nematode, Nippostrongylus brasiliensis. Functional studies on IMC shown that they are responsive to antigen and possess surface IgE but, in contrast peritoneal mast (PMC), unresponsive basic secretatogues, 48/80 bee venom peptide 401, hyporesponsive ionophores. Furthermore, sodium cromoglycate, AH9679 theorphylline inhibited secretion by PMC but not IMC, whereas doxantrazole both cells. Histochemical investigations established there is cell heterogeneity human as well rat. Since GALT BALT important intestinal mastocytosis it determine whether distinct functional properties reflect a precursor population, inducer cell, or other factors BALT.
