Cytogenetic effects of amitriptyline hydrochloride in somatic and germ cells of mice.

摘要: Amitriptyline hydrochloride, an antidepressant drug, was tested in mice for mutagenic effects the somatic cells by micronucleus test and germ air drying technique of Evans et al. Mice were treated orally with drug at a dose 70, 140 210 mg/kg body weight. The results indicate that is capable inducing mutations both mitotic meiotic mice.
