摘要: Time-dependent measurements of 3He diffusion in the lung could provide an accurate method to quantify alveolar length scales and progression diseases such as emphysema. However, apparent coefficient (ADC) presents a complex problem model solve analytically. Here, finite-difference methods were used simulate 3D ducts. The results compared only available analytical model--the "cylinder model"--from which it is possible estimate average radii ducts from vivo data. trend data observed simulations was found agree well with cylinder model. always overestimated simulated also demonstrated that measurement longitudinal ADC (along ducts) should be sensitive early emphysematous changes, whereas measured far less sensitive.
