摘要: This study investigated the effects of nanoencapsulated curcumin (NEC) and praziquantel (PZQ) treatment on resolution periductal fibrosis (PDF) bile canalicular (BC) abnormalities in Opisthorchis viverrini infected hamsters. Chronic O. infection (OV) was initially treated with either PZQ (OP) subsequently NEC (OP+NEC), (OP+Cur) or unloaded carriers (OP+carrier) daily for one month. OP+NEC reduced PDF by suppression fibrotic markers (hydroxyproline content, α-SMA, CTGF, fibronectin, collagen I III), cytokines (TGF-β TNF-α) TIMP-1, 2, 3 expression upregulation MMP-7, 13 genes. Higher activity reducing compared to also demonstrated vitro studies. Moreover, prevented BC upregulated several genes involved acid metabolism. These results demonstrate that reduces attenuates defect experimental opisthorchiasis. From Clinical Editor: Infection leads liver affects population SE Asia. Currently, is drug choice but this has significant side effects. In study, authors combined a nanocarrier test anti-oxidative effect an animal model. The encouraging may pave way better future.
