摘要: Diphenyl diselenide is an organoselenium compound with potential therapeutic use. The present study evaluates the effects of single maternal subcutaneous injection 50 and 100 mg/kg diphenyl [(PhSe)2] at gestational days (GD) 6, 10 or 17 in Wistar rats. highest dose (PhSe)2 was also administered GD 7–12. External internal fetal soft-tissue examination performed 20. No mortality observed fetuses dams any treatment group. Neither did exposure to cause significant changes body weight, organ size when 6–8, 10–12 17. Exposure 9 produced biometry (crown-rump (CR) length) weight. increase proportion external visible abnormalities groups exposed (PhSe)2. Skeletal anomalies were 9–11 included incomplete ossification cranial bones, misshapen sternebrae, reduced sternebrae number, wavy extra ribs, fore hindpaw bones sacral caudal bones. We conclude that administration during 7–12 led increased incidences these skeletal variations anomalies, but not externally malformations rat fetuses.
