摘要: Abstract The use of lightweight aggregate concrete (LWC) is the most obvious way to reduce self-weight concrete-filled steel tube (CFST) columns. This paper reports an investigation properties reinforced (RLWCFST) columns subjected axial compression. Eighteen specimens with three length-to-diameter (L/D) ratios (short, medium, and long) two diameter-to-thickness (D/t) (thin thick) were tested. LWC compressive strength 30.58 MPa. test results are given in terms compression loading against end shortening curves, failure modes eighteen compared discussed. In addition, predictions AISC360-16 EC4 design specifications confirm these hold for RLWCFST According experimental results, steel-bar reinforcement improves mechanical behavior increases capacity, toughness, ductility composite column. affected by unreinforced geometric (L/D D/t ratios). Steel-bar combined thinner provided excellent performance using larger-diameter steel-bars instead thick can offer improvement capacity short, long
