摘要: Part of the rotational spectrum hydroxyformyl radical, HOCO, and its deuterated analog has been detected at frequencies between 230 300 GHz. The radical was formed in a flow system by reaction chlorine atoms formic acid. Analysis spectra yields reliable estimates rotational, centrifugal distortion spin–rotational parameters describing ground state this species. constants derived for HOCO DOCO are consistent with planar equilibrium structure used to confirm that carrier is trans‐geometrical isomer.
