摘要: Mycosis fungoides is a cutaneous T-cell lymphoma of unknown etiology, thought to be rare sequela chronic antigenic stimulation that may occur, for example, with exposure contact allergens. To explore this possibility, we interviewed 174 patients mycosis and 294 randomly selected control subjects in the San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle areas concerning their lifetime histories employment, chemical exposures, allergy, atopy, certain medical conditions. Patients reported higher prevalence cancers other than non-Hodgkin's lymphomas skin (relative risk = 3.3, P less .001) were more likely controls burn when exposed sun (for nonblacks, relative 1.7, .01). The latter difference reflect manifestation rather precursor disease. We found no consistent or biologically plausible differences between respect types jobs held, occupational vocational exposures chemicals. These findings do not support hypothesis persistent by allergens etiologically important pathogenesis fungoides.
