摘要: Stem cells or undifferentiated can cope more easily with external stresses. To evaluate the impact of toxic compounds on stem cell dynamics in vivo, relation to other biological responses, we use carcinogenic element cadmium and regenerating model organism Macrostomum lignano. Through both BrdU anti-histone H3 immunostainings, cadmium-induced effects were investigated at different stages cycle. A 24-h exposure 100 250 M CdCl2 significantly decreased number (neoblasts) mitosis, whereas S phase remained unchanged. After this short-term exposure, ultrastructure neoblasts was minimally affected contrast epidermal tissues. These results supported by gene expression data: transcripts cdc2 pig3 upregulated during all treatments. Both genes are involved cycle progression transcribed gonadal region, where highly represented. Based a substantial increase heat shock proteins (HSP) their high activity hypothesize that these key players protection against Apart from strong HSP induction, protective processes including division, apoptosis anti-oxidative defence, also activated. We, therefore, conclude stressors may be based interplay between maintenance, i.e. repair recovery through one hand hand. (c) 2015 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Environ Toxicol 31: 1217-1228, 2016.
