摘要: Abstract A common challenge for individuals with Tourette's Disorder and Persistent Tic Disorders (collectively referred to as TD) is emotion regulation, which underlies multiple co-occurring conditions may contribute both tic non-tic related impairment. This study investigated the relationships between severity, impairment, affect lability—a core component of regulation. Participants were 75 youth disorders their caregivers, who completed an assessment characterize psychiatric comorbidities, functional family accommodation due tics, lability. Hierarchical regression models examined contributions lability on accommodation. Youth TD experienced greater levels impairment relative across domains (d = 0.38 - .74). Regressions revealed that predicted even after controlling clinician-rated severity. Exploratory analyses found tic-related uniquely contributed accounting While has received minimal attention in TD, it contributes among TD. Strategies enhance regulation have potential alleviate improve functioning
