摘要: Abstract We describe the development of a monoclonal antibody (MAb) to hemolymph fifth-instar larvae shield beetle, Cassida rubiginosa Muell. (Coleoptera, Chrysomelidae), be used as tool for predator gut analysis. The MAb reacts with all life stages C. rubiginosa, shows no cross-reactions outside genus (31 herbivorous insect species and 12 potential predators were tested), is less reactive other than rubiginosa. Specificity tests conducted using an indirect enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Western blot analysis following SDS–PAGE showed that single protein molecular weight 32 kDa. immunoblot native PAGE reaction three bands, monomer kDa two bands approximate weights 60 90 Using this MAb, we able unambiguously identify individuals model Nabis mirmicoides Costa (Hemiptera, Nabidae) after feeding on one last-instar larva. may useful complex
