摘要: Purpose To evaluate the feasibility of integrating intraoperative optical coherence tomography (OCT) with a digital visualization platform for vitreoretinal surgery. Methods The DISCOVER study is prospective examining microscope-integrated OCT across multiple prototypes and platforms. For this assessment, was combined three-dimensional (3D) surgical system to allow display data stream on large immersive display. Intraoperative scans were obtained at various milestones that directly overlaid view in 55-inch passive 3D 4K high-definition Surgeon feedback related performance integration into procedures through prespecified surgeon questionnaire. Results Seven eyes seven subjects identified. Clinical diagnosis included epiretinal membrane (n = 3), macular hole (2), symptomatic vitreous opacity (1), proliferative vitreoretinopathy (1). Optical images successfully displayed screen all cases. facilitated identification subtle retinal alterations. Surgeons reported seemed provide improved compared semitransparent ocular view. able examine without reverting external microscope. provided uniform experience both assistant. In addition, allowed personnel simultaneously field. All underwent uneventful vitrectomy conventional No adverse events occurred. Conclusion Integration may enable unique opportunities diagnostics. overlay onto monitor excellent details. Further research needed compare microscope-based approach regards OCT.
