摘要: A hospital case-control study of meningioma was conducted in Heilongjiang Province northeast China between September 1989 and December 1996. It included 183 cases newly diagnosed primary 366 individually matched controls with non-neoplastic non-neurological disease selected from six major hospitals. Cases were by sex, age area residence interviewed the wards to obtain information on medical history, occupation lifestyle. No association liquor or beer consumption apparent. Cigarette smoking positively associated risk women but not men. In women, compared non-smokers, adjusted OR for pack-years above median (124) 6.2 (CI 2.04-18.87). Both these observations contrast results a glioma same population, using similar methods. The reported occupational exposure lead, tin, cadmium ionising radiation both genders.
