摘要: The location and morphology of astrocytes are known to contribute their diversity, this diversity is often associated with selective functions. However, molecular markers for astrocyte subtypes largely unknown. In study, we found that the immunoreactivity glycoprotein GPM6B (M6B-IR) preferentially expressed in ventricles or neurogenic regions adult mouse brain. particular, M6B-IR niche was confined glial fibrillary acidic protein- nestin-expressing neural stem cells. Furthermore, injury penumbra, reactive expressing nestin also exhibited strong M6B-IR. These results reveal a potential marker subset astrocytes, as well injury-dependent activation astrocytes.
