摘要: We review our previous work demonstrating planar dipole antenna structures which operate in the LW-IR regime (30 THz). Integrated metal-oxide-metal tunnel diodes are used as rectifying element. These nanoantenna exhibit a polarization and length dependence expected from classical antennas. measure specific detectivities of 2*106 cmHz1/2W-1. One way increasing detectivity these structures, currently fabricated on top silicon-silicon dioxide structure, is to place them cavity filled with low-k dielectric achieve higher gain. have explored performance cavity-backed dipoles for operation by numerical simulations, experimentally verified 1000-x scale model operating Ka-band GHz).
