摘要: Chapter Summary During pregnancy, differentiation of the endometrium results in formation specialized tissue known as decidua. This is a process called decidualization, and it begins after onset implantation mice. Over 100 years ago, was discovered that this can be artificially induced uteri rodents. The resulting deciduoma order to distinguish from corresponding found pregnant animals. Artificial induction has proven very useful approach model decidualization using rodents, many different deciduogenic stimuli have been used over years. Recently, mouse studies included genome-wide expression profiling tissue, which provided wealth new data for researchers mine. Other types analyses now possible are almost completely lacking current literature thus provide exciting avenues future research. chapter focuses on its past potential uses assessment molecular genetic changes occur during decidualization.
