摘要: Various chelating ligands have been investigated for the cloud point extraction of several metal ions. However, limited studies on use Schiff base reported. In this work, behavior copper(II) with N,N′-bis(salicylaldehyde)Ethylenediimine ligand, (H2SALEN), was in aqueous concentrated sulphate medium. The process used is based formation hydrophobic H2SALEN–copper(II) complexes that are solubilized micellar phase a non-ionic surfactant, i.e. ethoxylated (9.5EO) tert-butylphenol. then extracted into surfactant-rich above temperature. Different parameters affecting Cu(II), such as equilibrium pH, extractant concentration, and surfactant concentration were explored. Cu(II) studied pH range 2–11. results obtained showed it profoundly influenced by factor, Cf, about 17 efficiency E % ≈100 achieved. stoichiometry complex ascertained Yoe–Jones method to give composition 1:1 (Cu:H2L). optimum conditions extraction-removal established following: (1) 1.86 × 10−3 mol/L ligand; (2) 3 wt% surfactant; (3) 8 (4) 0.5 Na2SO4 (5) temperature 60 °C.
