摘要: In recent years light has been shed on the way in which alcohol influences behavior, psychological symptoms, and alcohol-seeking alcohol-dependent (AD) subjects. A new concept emerged linking gut brain use disorders. However, mechanisms underlying this gut-brain relationship abuse are not, as yet, completely understood but may involve intestinal dysbiosis increased permeability; latter is sometimes referred to “leaky gut.” As a consequence of such phenomena low-grade systemic inflammation occur with subsequent effects other target organ functions. Persistent alterations key CNS circuits likely contribute inability AD subjects control their intake influence relapse after withdrawal. Therefore it conceivable that dietary interventions, correct deficits barrier function, could have beneficial effect treating dependence reducing relapse.
