摘要: IT has recently been suggested1 that modifications of the tracheoles beneath photoreceptors compound eye butterfly Heliconius erato specifically reflect red light and this increases sensitivity to light. Because H. a forewing patch which plays role in release courtship activity, it was also proposed reflexions were related behavioural responsiveness animal colour red. We wish comment on physiological implications observation.
