摘要: Abstract Quantitative microdialysis in the central nervous system (CNS) has recently provided evidence for existence of transporters as they relate to brain distribution a variety drugs. Support drug blood–brain barrier (or blood–CSF barrier) comes from investigations that have found: unbound concentrations fluids are lower than corresponding levels plasma; saturability transport clearances across and; regulation by putative inhibitors. Additional confirmatory active or carrier-mediated processes also been derived models observed CNS with those plasma blood. The conclusion reduced generally indicate efflux is questioned. In case relatively polar compounds modest permeability, may be consequence dilution turnover fluids. This review summarizes recent reports (grouped class compounds) where investigators used examine therapeutic agents CNS, and reached conclusions regarding functional presence brain.
