摘要: An outbreak of dengue 4 occurred in the Yucatan, Mexico 1984. During course outbreak, 538 5486 reported cases dengue-like illness were studied; 200 confirmed as serologically and/or virologically. Dengue virus was isolated from 34 patients and 1 one. Severe haemorrhagic symptoms observed 9 laboratory patients, including four deaths. Thus, Yucatan is second epidemic Americas after Cuban 1981 which a number suffered complications. It notable that 5 hospitalized, severe young adults only one met WHO criteria DHF, contrast to primary pediatric nature DHF Southeast Asia. In this paper we describe clinical, serologic, virologic studies conducted during outbreak.
