摘要: BACKGROUND: Although approximately 57% of breast cancer (BC) diagnoses are in older patients (>60 years), only 4.1-14% receives reconstruction (BR). This has been attributed to physician concerns about operative complications. paper aims to: 1) analyze the 30-day complication rates patient population undergoing immediate (IBR); and 2) links between type category reconstruction. METHODS: Using ACS-NSQIP database (2005-2014), all women than 60 years age diagnosed with BC DCIS were identified. IBR plotted for ages. Patients divided into those without Patient demographics co-morbidities compared. Complications within each analyzed. RESULTS: Of 4450 1104 patients, 22.3% 20.9% (DCIS) had decreased significantly increased (P < 0.00 both cohorts), while remained stable across ages = 0.32 BC, P 0.69 patients). well matched terms demographics. CONCLUSIONS: The decrease increasing age. Despite age, associated stable.
